Do you play any musical instruments?

Sort of.  I play the piano well enough to amuse myself.  I took lessons from when I was little through high school but was never fantastic.  My brother, who barely took lessons at all, is much better on the piano than I am.  I just don't have the gift, which actually might be the result of my dyscalculia (like dyslexia, but with numbers).  The inability to completely connect the notes on the page with the way your fingers should move is actually one of the symptoms, along with my biggest two symptoms--inability to read clocks with hands on them and flipping numbers around.  Seriously, if you give a phone number to me, I give it to my mother, and she gives it to my sister, you never know what the end result is going to be.  It's like a game of telephone where the original phrase is in some language that none of the people passing it along understand.

I also play guitar.  Very, very badly.  I know something like six chords, and none of them well.  I'm just good enough to be dangerous, and to amuse myself, of course.

Thankfully, I sing pretty well.  I don't have to coordinate my hands to make music that way, I just have to open my mouth and sing.

And since we're talking about music, I'll let you know that I've been listening to Rilo Kiley pretty much nonstop for the past week.  I'm crazy about their album More Adventureous, and right now my favorite track is "I Never."  I love Jenny Lewis's beautiful, understated voice.  She can wail when she wants to, but she holds back and doesn't hit you over the head with it like so many other modern female vocalists.
